Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue with the summer workshops, at least for the immediate future.
Having seen a consultant on Thursday 12th May, I will be in hospital from Friday morning, 13th May for an estimated sojourn of at least a week, possibly ten days, while they poke, prod, examine, analyse and try to determine once and for all what has been ailing me for the past few weeks.
I'm sorry that this has occurred at this particular time, but one's body does not always follow the script (should that be the score?) and get ill only when there no other calls on its services.
Alan will be making the necessary arrangements on behalf of the Society - I'm not sure what sort of IT access I will have while I'm laid up, so I may or may not be able to provide updates myself.
For the time being, my thanks to all of you who have expressed your concern over my state of health - I look forward to being back with you and at full strength as soon as possible.
